the dearness of a friend

How does a person measure
how much a friend is treasured?
How can one tell the value
in what mere words allow you?

Friendships such as this are few.
     Once realized, love ensues.

Priceless tender memories
     Many days gone by
     Private trials borne
To finally be at Peace

Kind, generous, and friendly

     My heart will forever keep
Remembrance of this lily

Dedicated to my dear friend

  1. This poem is very beautiful. I know you posted it in December but I tend to stay away from the social media, for that I apologize. I am so glad I took the time to read it. Tomilyn is always in my heart and in my thoughts, also.
