Mistakes, providing me a chance to love.
Today waved goodbye as the glorious sun went
Down, showing me that tomorrow will be good.
She used to pluck the petals off the
Daisies that had the bad luck of
Crossing her path.
She used to wish on the night's first
Star brave enough to
Shine the brightest.
She used to hold her breath for a surprise, yet
Now she knows nothing worth waiting for
Comes from wishing.
She does the things she knows will
Bring her joy.
She takes as many chances as she can that
Only come once.
She looks ahead with enthusiasm and
Hope and smiles.
hold onto the love and joy and
peace and beauty all around singing
into hearts and homes and
the entire world as we
reach for one another and
listen to each other and
give patience a chance

Chaos of the spreading ground cover
That somehow withstands the trampling
Feet of tiny humans and animals
As we all lean toward summer while
Breathing in the glorious spring at hand
