Sun shining, flowers blooming in an
Explosion of spring coming toward
Us and we hardly know what to do
First with all the new and surprising
Things giving fresh perspective and
Hope for good to prevail as the
Buds pop on the trees into new leaves
Tulips radiate gladness in the shade of
Evergreens and scattered amidst the
Chaos of the spreading ground cover
That somehow withstands the trampling
Feet of tiny humans and animals
As we all lean toward summer while
Breathing in the glorious spring at hand
