In my career as a teacher, I have had many wonderful students, but you cannot count on always having students who see past the teacher label. There is something a little extra that connects when they do though. It is as if you are a full human and not just your job for those hours at school, and it makes all the difference. I am exceedingly thankful for the students who care and take the time to show me that they know I am more than my job. I am grateful to have so many wonderful students like this during this school year especially since it seems to be one thing after another, and they help make it all bearable and doable.
